Abstract

This article aims to reflect on education in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. All revolutions have produced many changes, not always positive. Considering the education we have at the beginning of this century, the most successful models of quality education in the world, the effects of social isolation during the Covid - 19 pandemic, and the consequences of the invasive new technologies on the lives of a large part of the population, what perspectives can be pointed for the school of the next decades? Considering all the limits of distance education, what can be rethought and guaranteed in a context of great expansion of this format of ofter, not only in higher education, but also in basic education? How can families without the material conditions of access to online platforms and applications guarantee the subjective right to their children"™s basic education? What will be the role of the state and organized civil society? With these questions I developed the plot of this text. They are more information, questions than answers.
